Heaven's not a place that you go when you die, It's that moment in life when you actually feel alive...

So this week I got to talking to a friend about Big Bang Theory, one of my favorite shows, we ended up discussing the relationship between Penny and Leonard.
He claimed that a relationship between the two is unfeasible because Leonard is only attracted to Penny's good looks, and basically that their relationship has an expiration date, as does Penny's Beauty.
I do not agree... but it got me to thinking... as per usual...
In our society, we base our opinions of people by the way they look.
You start with their eyes, then you move other features of their face and you continue with the way they carry themselves. If they are talking with someone, you see how they move their lips when they talk, only when you find these things appealing do you maybe even attempt in a conversation with them.
I mean I don't look around a room and look for the person with a scowl on their face to start up a convo.
(usually because that's me...)
So yes, I will say that the thing that draws someone to someone else initially is their physical appearance, but once you get pass all of that it's the person that makes you stay or walk.
I believe that in a relationship between two people, where one person lacks the other person tends to pick up the slack. For example:
The woman is loud and the life of the party whereas the guy is quiet and keeps to himself.
Another example: The woman hates to cook and the guy loves to cook.
There has to be a balance between the two in order for it work, at the same time you need to have some common ground, like a love for obscure 1960 films.
So in the Case of Penny and Leonard where they may not have a lot of common ground, they do complement each other.
Penny is loud and isn't afraid to give you her opinion
Leonard is timid and has a hard time telling people off.
Penny is kind and cares about others.
Leonard is kind, but he tends to be a little more reluctant to help
(usually ends up being guilted into helping)
In conclusion... I think they should be together and it can in fact work and last.
