So I can Die Happy....

Today I received the most amazing phone call ever...
A Mister Max Bemis called me!
Eeepp! I don't know how I made it through the call without passing out.
It was a short convo but it totally made my weekend, I was really awestruck.
I was floating around the house for a good hour.

Max was so nice he thanked me for buying a song from him and I told him how much I loved it. Sigh.... It was magical, at least for me. ^_^

Gah, so in other (less girly and gushy) news...

This weekend I was supposed to go away with my aunt, and things didn't quite go as expected which I was really bummed about, I had been looking forward to the trip since she told me about it.
Sometimes these things just don't work out though.
So instead I went to the movies with my sister and we saw "Bad Teacher"
It was really funny, We laughed a lot.
but the weekend isn't over quite yet so I'm sure I'll have more to report later.

Also I wanted to take a minuter and express my love for the new Panic! at the Disco album "Vices and Virtues" I have been listening to it non stop for the past week.
One of my Fave songs is "I wanna be Free"
I'ts seriously Amazing, my favorite Lyrics:

"I wanna be free
I wanna be loved
I wanna be more than you're thinking of
Everything seems to be estranged when you're alone"

so yeah that's all I have to talk about now, I'll keep you posted blog.
^_^

*Side Note* He called me, he called me, he called me, he called me.....

Now my life is one big make it, or break it.

So far April has been a whirlwind for me...

I got my Song shop song from a mister Max Bemis.

It is Amazing. It's almost like he knows me

Then I tried my hand at making Macrons (a french pastry) and they came out sooo yummy

After that I was diagnosed with Grave's Disease.

It sounds scarier then it actually is.

Graves’ disease is an autoimmune disease that affects the thyroid.

With Graves’ disease, the immune system makes antibodies that act like TSH, causing the thyroid to make more thyroid hormone than your body needs.

This is called an overactive thyroid or hyperthyroidism.

An overactive thyroid causes every function of the body to speed up, such as heart rate and the rate your body turns food into energy.

Graves’ disease is one cause of overactive thyroid.

It is closely related to Hashimoto’s disease, another autoimmune disease affecting the thyroid.

Basically my body is attacking my thyroid and my thyroid is freaking out.

I think my case is extreme because I don't exhibit all of the symptoms.

So i'm not really worried about it and it's not like there is a whole lot I can do about it right now

So yeah....

April...

yeah...

So um....

Lol ok I think that's all for right now.

I wanted to post some pics of my Macrons but.. I don't feel like getting up to get my camera...

So it will have to wait for another post.

^_^

*Side note* The blanket octopus is beautiful....

Why me....

Defeat is written on her face as she looks at the computer screen...
Her eye's become glossy and tears well up on the bottom lashes.
She turns her face upward and let's out a sigh of anguish.
She pushes the laptop off of her in disgust and gets out of the bed.
She stands for a moment swaying on her feet.
As if an imaginary sting has been cut she falls to the floor as her body goes limp.
That's where her parents found her two hours later.
Her face pressed into the hardwood floor as she sobs silently.
A few hours later...
The men picked her up and placed her on a gurney.
They rolled her out of the room, her mother and father stood by helplessly
watching their eldest daughter wrapped in a crisp white straight jacket.
Her face was pale and her eyes were wide and red.
She was speaking in a hurried whispers as she passed them.
She whispered "I missed it, I missed it, how could I miss it."
Her words began to blur into each other as if she was speaking another language.
The above story (that I just wrote) is how I feel on the inside....
The reason you ask...
So Max Bemis is doing solo shows in Feb...
They went on sale today at 1pm....
I forgot...
So now... *Sob* I can't go.....
I can't believe I forgot!!!!
I am super mad at myself....
Sooo bummed...
I missed it....
*Side note* I dyed the back of my hair blue, I was really happy about that until this happened... life sucks right now....

So I know I you guys must be sick of me going on and on about Say Anything,
and I can not promise that this will be the last Say Anything post
but I will try and tone it down.
^_^
So I felt compelled to post this video that I found of Max Bemis from Say Anything preforming
an acoustic version of "Crushed" from their new album.
Enjoy!

A series of Statements.. some of a Question-like nature:
So I haven't gone skating in a few weeks and that kinda bums me out.
Why do the snow plow people feel the necessity to ruin my life?
Christmas is kind of overwhelming me... I am so behind...
Do you think Santa has to shovel snow?
Breakfast was really good this morning
This snow storm killed my plans last night...so Bummy.
I want to go to target today. I have some things I need to return.
If I want to go to Target I have to shovel out my car
I don't really want to shovel out my car...
I wish my car had a feature that melted snow off of it. That would be cool
Ughh...
Side note* I really like snow I just wish my car is a truck in this kind of weather..
Update: I posted pictures from the November Say Anything Concert on my Flickr. Check it out

Maybe, the world'll look like this forever

So November 3rd I had the pleasure of seeing Say Anything in concert..Again.
lol and as always they were Amazing!!
I got to Irving Plaza at like 1:30ish and I was the second person on the line.
Yay!
So I totally knew I was going to get a sweet spot in the front.. which I did!
So their were 2 opening bands and 2 main bands, the opening bands were pretty good my favorite was The Miniature Tigers. They were so good, surprising for an opening band. I love going to shows there is something to be said about the energy that is at a rock so, you feel so alive, like anything is possible!
But anyway I went to see The Flying Karamazov Brothers on the 7th and that show was sooo funny, I went with my lovely aunt and we both had a really good time.
It was a surprise when I saw my juggling teacher preforming, because I thought that he was no longer preforming with the show but it turns out I was wrong. ^_^

Speaking of juggling where is my poi, I can't find them anywhere.
I have to practice...
Today I painted my Very ugly Ice Skates and now they are even uglier, haha Just kidding
They are Beautiful now.
A work of moving art if you will.
I can't wait to show them off at the rink tomorrow morning.
For now I will have to just show them off here and all 3 of my readers can show the world
lol, I make myself giggle...
Here are the skates:
This is a picture of the inside of the skate,
aka the part of the skate that is next to the other skate.
So no one will really see this, its more for me. ^_^
This is the side of the skate that is visible to anyone who cares to look.

*Side note* I really don't have a side note today.

If I hung my head for all of my errors in judgment, I would never see the sky

I was just thinking about choices I have made so far in my life
(Every once in a while I get philosophical like this)

I went to a trade high school (against my parents wishes) but as far as I am concerned I think it was one of the best things I have ever done.
Although I never achieved academic greatness like my parents wanted I gained something else entirely, Myself.

I am comfortable in my own skin, and that's not to say I don't have insecurities because that would be false. I look at others my age and they have spent so many years trying to be someone elses idea of who they should be, that they don't know who they are.

From grades 1 to grade 8 I went to catholic school. When I entered my H.S (which was public) It was eye opening. My high school gave me an environment where I could express myself freely with out fear of being rejected or thought of as weird, that was something I didn't always get at home (Don't get me wrong I have always had lots of love at home, but they thought of me as eccentric..lol they still do).

It was an amazing environment to learn and grow in. I have seen people go to the best of schools and come out making choices that leave you thinking "what happened".

My school experiences have shaped me, even the bad experiences have shaped me. If I had to go back I wouldn't change a thing.

Did you know that Leonardo Di Vinci out of all of his achievements from science to art, he was most proud of his ability to bend metal with his bare hands.

I love who I am.
Find yourself and cherish it for all eternity

*Random Quotes I like*

1. "You say you love me now but will you when you realize i am four feet tall and have half-robot-legs?" - max bemis.

2. "There are no words I can use because their meaning still leaves for you to choose."-Cat Stevens

So Get This!!

It was floating around that Max Bemis was going to start writing personalized songs for his fans but today i stumbled upon the website that hes taking the comissions!!! What!!! It is no secret that i love max bemis and of couse i am already dreaming up all the ideas i want to have written in my song.
But as i was writing i realized i was essentally writing my own song lol. Take a sneak peak.
Song:
When people see me they don't see who I really am. They see the eccentric artist that has nothing better to do with herself.

I am walked all over and the kicked for good measure. I smile and take it but inside I am tired of faking, your broken analogies make my head spin, there is beauty in my breakdown but it happens from within,

I will never forget the way you taunted me only to end up wanting to be me. so I laugh just loud enough to make you jealous and you sit there pretending ur life was something else.

This is a toast for the Girl you can't see
but I want you to know that girl is me.
So thats what i have come up with so far... what do you think?

Please....Do tell...

Welcome to another exciting moment of Delilah's Life...

On this episode we discuss the social gatherings amongst citizen of the same musical genre,
as well as the most recent addition of ceramic masterpieces to Delilah's Gallery.
Enjoy.....

Warped Tour was Amazing!!
My friend Nix & I went together and I believe I spent over $100, their were some amazing non-profits their that i had to take Part in such as:
1. To Write Love on Her Arms (One of my favorite Non-Profits)
2. Peta ( although i love meat..sry animals)
3. 11:11 Am (started with Andrew from Jack's Mannequin)
4. Unite the United
5. Music saves Lives

You know people assume that people that are interested in rock are all about drugs and are essentially bad people, when in fact this is a misconception.

Don't get me wrong though,
there are people who are led down a misguided path and end up destroying their lives as an outcome.
The people that inspire me most are the ones that see they have a problem and overcome it.
Gerard way from My Chemical romance, Travis from Gym Class Heroes and Max Bemis from Say Anything. They are truly inspiring.

Also i wanted to share with you some ceramics i painted, Forgive the horrible lighting of the photos.

So now For the Pictures!!!

Nix and I are shoe-tastic! Nix being Emo
Me trying to look cool in massive amounts of heat....
5 minutes later....
