Happiness hit her like a train on a track...

I've been pretty silent on here lately and I'm going to try and change that.
( have I said this before?)

So here is an update on the going ons..... I've been making progress with continuing my last nanowrimo, I feel like my writing is at an evolutionary point, my dialogue is getting a lot better and the descriptions of locations in my book seem real. I'm very happy with the way it's coming out, my goal for this year is to finish one of my nanowrimo's and I really feel like its becoming a possibility. I'm excited to see how the story is going to come out, I wonder if you can see my improvement by reading it?

Hmmm... Guess we shall see.. In other news...

I'm ridiculously happy, feeling positive and looking forward to the future.

In about a weeks time I will be heading to the Dominican Republic to witness 2 of my best friends take a huge step towards their future together. I am so happy for them and honored to share that moment with them.

Wanderlust comes creeping up...

I want to go somewhere... Anywhere.
Take a long drive or maybe a weekend trip...
I want to escape for a little while.
I think escape is the wrong word... Vacate is better.
Vacate reality and insert myself into another world.
I miss traveling...
What inspired this wanderlust you ask?
My boss was looking up flights today and I became incredibly jealous.
I want to hop on a flight to somewhere warm... I miss the sun.
These hardcore winter months have left me wanting.
I have to get out of here.. but I can't, I'm trapped by my wallet.
So for now I have to just travel in my mind...
*Side Note* I tried the most Amazing beer the other night, any one who knows me, knows that I am not a fan of beer... but Fruli's Strawberry Beer now owns my heart..

I'm in love and given away....

Right now I am away from home and I have been for a few days.
I am currently in South Dakota and on my way to Custer state park.
So far the trip has been amazing!
We started in Deadwood and we took a road trip to Devils tower, where close encounters of the third kind was filmed, and we did a mile hike around the whole tower.
We also went into an old gold mine.
It was a fantastic experience!
I am kinda shocked that I am having such a good time.
To be honest I thought it would be kind of boring, but happily I have been proved wrong!
The first day I was a bit nausaus, because we are so high up compared to NY.
I was told this is becasue I was am to being at sea level.
I am going to be traveling for another week or so,
and I have a ton more places that I am going to be visiting.
Check my Flickr for picture updates!

I have already posted some pics of my trip thus far!
Well I will talk to you guys soon!
*Side note* I miss NY a little...

She can still here that Rebel Yell just as loud as it was in 1983.

Been Really busy Creating things for the craft show on City Island. I am really excited, but the adverse effect of that is that I have been neglecting my blog and I feel bad about that, so here is a real life story...
So I was at the gas station the other morning,
I was busy pumping my gas when I looked up and noticed this guy staring at me, I quickly looked away and finished pumping my gas.
I walked to the drivers side of the car and I hear someone shout "Hey" behind me.
I ignore it and hear it again.
I looked and it was that same guy that was staring at me, and he says
"It's been a long time, how are you?"
"Umm.. I don't know you"
" yeah, your Lisa, right"
"Umm, no"
" oh sorry"
"It's cool, Bye"
It had to be on of the most bizarre verbal exchanges I have ever had with another human being
that's not to say I have had many exchanges with non human beings...or have I....
so yeah that's my story... ttyl
*Side note* I am going to be going away, so you might not hear from me for a while but I promise to be more vigilant.

I always freeze when I'm thinking of words to say

A line from Eatmewhileimhot's the Point:
I don't wanna live with regret which is why my life is a mess

I feel like that encompasses how I feel right now, being in North Carolina was a total wake up call for me. I have so many things that I could bring to the world and I feel like I am fading away, but a big part of not doing anything is fear and I know it.
I know have written post like this and I am done waiting for my life to start, no one is going to start it for me, I am 23 years old and still wandering aimlessly, this doesn't seem right. So I'm going to try and work through my fear and put myself out there...

Also...

I realized I am terrible at telling stories, I pause far to much, forget part of the story and forget what part of the story I was up to. I think this is due to the way my brain works, sometimes I speak slow and I think too fast or I think fast and speak to fast whichleadsthewordstorunintoeachother.....
something like that...

But yeah here is list of some things that I feel are important life lessons:

1. Do not take Expired Medications
2. Do not travel 4 hours to see a guy unless you are
A: Dating, B: Married to or C: Going to kill... the said guy.
3. Do drink Firefly Vodka with Lemon aid
4. Do get your oil changed, car checked and make sure you check your coolant levels before a road trip.
5. If your not having fun at a bar make your own fun... or leave...
6. Always Pregame
7. If a guy does not have manners
(ie. hold doors open, offer to help you carry heavy bags, pays attention to you and talks to you with respect) then he doesn't deserve the time of day.
8. Try something new, at least once.
9. Don't go anywhere without some semblance of directions.
10. Always carry snacks on a road trip, you never know where there's going to be a gas station or rest stop.

Side note* I need to get my hair cut....

Urban Wayward Youth... or .... Welcome to Nowhere

I am currently in North Carolina visiting my friend Nix.
She is probably one of the few people that could drag me here with only a slight struggle.
The trip was really good, you know for being in the south.
Honestly I am not a fan of the south, Not gonna lie.
So me, Nix and her friend which I will call San, took a little trip to a place called Roanoke Rapids which is right outside Raleigh NC and all I have to say right now is Wow.
I truly don't think my words would suffice so I will be stealing the lyrics of Paper Rivals' Alabama to describe the town:

This white trash sunset
no exit off of this freeway
this southern climate
humid kill vultures meal freeway
my redneck mistress
victory for those who leave this freeway
trailer suburbia
prison cell, part of hell freeway

state where fast is always slow
so the wind cant ever blow
hopelessly yours alabama

void of beauty for miles
three tooth smile, change the dial freeway
abandoned autos
one bedroom home for the drunk and stoned freeway
nothing ever sits just right
we'll escape this place tonight
hopelessly yours alabama
hopelessly yours alabama
hopelessly yours alabama

Yeah it was like that but scary and worse...

Delilah in P.R?

I started thinking about moving to Puerto Rico about a year ago.

I kind of put it on the back burner though.

But lately I have been thinking about it a little more and more.

What if I just picked up and moved there? I think I would really like it. It would give me the chance to learn Spanish and get to know the family that I have there...
Now here's the problem...
I can't speak Spanish, I can understand it for the most part if it is spoken to me and I can speak a little but in m head I can not form a reply and then from the sheer exhaustion of trying to figure out how to say what I want or mean, I end up losing all focus and giving up.
It is so frustrating!
Then I started thinking what if I went to school there, so then I started researching the schools in P.R and surprise, surprise it is all taught in Spanish. That's like a guaranteed fail.
I'm still thinking about moving down there but for now have no cemented plans on it. It's just something I want to do.
